1972: received National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Photography

1975: first big bicycle trip from NYC to Illinois. See below.

1978+ returned to school to take science classes.

1982: Second big bicycle trip from Forest Grove , OR to New York City.

Received Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon in 1985.

Worked at Harvard Health Community Plan and New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA 1986-88.

Returned in Portland, OR. Employed by Curt Mumford, MD and Kaiser Permanente during 1988-1991.

Assumed Dr. Art Blumberg's practice of 20 plus years in 1991 at 2480 NE Fremont St.,  Portland, OR.

Taught Geriatric Vision at Pacific University from 1997. Designed bike rack for office, see below.

Appointed member of the Oregon Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee to the Oregon Department of Oregon by Governor Ted Kulongski in 2005.
